THE LATEST: The Purdue Boilermakers are the most recent to offer Purdue. He has already taken official visits to Kansas State and Minnesota and the two programs are at the top of his list. Tennessee is also showing interest, and is planning to stop through Dutchtown on Wednesday.
IN HIS WORDS: On the Purdue offer: "I talked to coach Malone today and we had a conversation and he told me they wanted to offer. It's a pretty good program but I still have the schools I've visited - Minnesota and Kansas State - as my top right now."
On his top two: "Minnesota is it's a pretty good place. Coach Sawvel is a pretty good coach and they have some pretty good DBs coming out of there. Eric Murray he's going to be in the draft this year. Coach Sawvel develops defensive backs pretty well so that's one reason I have Minnesota in my top. Kansas State, you know the history of Kansas State and coach Snyder, it explains itself with just the tradition of the school."
WHAT'S NEXT: Right now Minnesota leads the race with Kansas State right there in the mix. Coney is also keeping an eye on the Tennessee Volunteers. He does not have any other official visits scheduled at this time.
