Durant closing in on decision

Although his not calling it a top three, Temple, Rutgers and Arizona State are in the best position to land a commitment from Philadelphia (Pa.) Imhotep Institute Charter School offensive lineman Yasir Durant. The 6-foot-6, 320-pound Durant has a lot of connections to all three schools.

WHAT'S NEXT?: Durant has an official visit scheduled to Arizona State in September and he says he wants to commit some time in September as well. That could be good news for the Sun Devils
IN HIS WORDS: ""I'm going to commit next month so that I can get out of the way and have it be over and done with. Temple, Rutgers and Arizona State are the ones that have been recruiting me hard. I'm going down to Arizona State in September for the New Mexico State game. I like their intensity at Rutgers. They really get after it. Coach Flood is an amazing coach that that could really help me develop," Durant told Rivals.com.
RIVALS' REACTION: Rutgers and Arizona State are the favorites here and the Sun Devils could win based on when Durant wants to decide. The longer this recruitment takes, the better shape Rutgers will be in.
