Dupree closing in on official offers

DALLAS - It's another strong year for Dallas Skyline and several of their prospects made their way to the Rivals.com Junior Day at Southern Methodist University on Saturday.
One of those was linebacker/defensive end prospect Alfred Dupree. The 6-foot-2, 211-pounder has already picked up three verbal offers from Oklahoma, Kansas State, and Minnesota.

"Minnesota has said that it's coming and on the way," Dupree said. "Oklahoma and Kansas State are the verbal offers. Coach (Derick) Roberson told me that thngs are coming for me."
Dupree has played a variety of different spots for Skyline. Whether he has a hand down at the defensive end spot or a standup linebacker position, he's a defensive prospect that college coaches are well aware of.
One Big 12 school is his current leader.
"Oklahoma is my favorite," Dupree said. "I just like the coaches. They're down to earth people and I like their defensive scheme. I feel like I'm the perfect fit for them.
Dupree has definitely had a chance to see his teammates from the last two years make big recruiting announcements. He says he's not going to rush, but he won't wait until the last minute either.
"I'm just going to wait and check out all of my options," Dupree said. "I'm not going to be like Christian Scott though and do it a day or two before Signing Day or anything."
