Los Angeles (Calif.) Verbum Dei receiver Reggie Dunn is still on a high after the Eagles won their first CIF championship in 24 years. The athlete is now up to three offers and set up his first official visit for January.
Dunn, 5-9, 160 pounds is one of the top receiver prospects in the region. He's definitely the fastest and played a big role in the Eagles run to the title.
"I haven't stopped smiling, I'm still on a high," Dunn said. "We really played great down the stretch and it was special to win the title over a league rival who beat us in the regular season. There were a lot of coaches from USC and UCLA too including Pete Carroll so that was pretty cool. Hopefully I'll start to hear more from both schools."
Dunn currently has offers from Oregon, Oregon State and Washington.
"Washington is probably recruiting me the hardest," Dunn said. "I have a visit set up there for (Jan. 12). Coach Yarber, the receiver coach at Washington was at my school yesterday and they'll be by next week for a home visit. Oregon State has also said they'll be by but I haven't heard from Oregon in awhile.
"UCLA checks in once in awhile but they're still waiting on grades. I haven't heard from USC but like I said, hopefully that will change now after seeing me this past weekend."
