Duke offers Jersey LB

It's not known yet who the head coach of the Duke football team will be next year, and that presents a lot of difficulties for recruits that have been interested in the Devils. But interim coach Ted Roof is still working hard on the recruiting trail, and has offered one of New Jersey's top linebackers a scholarship.
"Duke has done a great job recruiting me," said linebacker Bo Olsen. "I visited the school about a week ago and I loved all of it. With Duke it's not just about the coaching staff or even the number of games won. I want to help bring more wins wherever I go, but their academics are a huge draw. I wish I knew what was going to happen with the coaching situation, but it will all play out fine."

The 6-foot-2, 230-pound linebacker from Red Bank (N.J.) Red Bank Regional runs the 40-yard dash in 4.65 seconds and bench presses an impressive 325 pounds.
"Army is still a place I'm considering," he said. "I think it would be good for my future to go to a military academy, but we'll see. They've offered me a scholarship and their coaches like me a lot."
Olsen also has offers from Miami of Ohio, Toledo, Central Michigan and Akron. Who else does he like?
"Miami of Ohio and Akron are up there, along with Syracuse and Northwestern. Northwestern is in a good conference, but the big thing with all of those schools is that they aren't too far from home and they have good academics."
Olsen plans on taking an official visit to see the Army-Navy game on Dec. 5, and may take other visits before making a final decision. Through seven games for Red Bank Regional, Olsen has recorded nearly 90 tackles and has 195 total yards on offense.
