Duke leads for 2-star S Deveaux

Two-star safety Lance Deveaux Jr. of Ft. Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas has a current leader in Duke and could be a visit away from pulling the trigger on committing.
"I'm looking forward to the atmosphere and putting on a Duke uniform," the 6-foot, 189-pound Deveaux said. "I'll probably commit after seeing the school."

Deveaux has yet to visit Durham and hopes to take an unofficial visit before or during the season and then take an official visit during the offseason.
He also plans on taking official visits to Cincinnati, Appalachian State, Western Michigan and Florida International.
Here's what Deveaux had to say about a few of the schools he'll visit:
Duke: "I like their academics and they're on the come-up this year. They haven't always been the best in the ACC lately but they're coming off a good year and they have big expectations this year."
Appalachian State: "They also have good academics and they've been showing me a lot of love."
Cincinnati: "I went to their camp and the coaches treated me good. I saw the school afterward and liked it."
Deveaux said he's not sure when he'll decide.
"It could go either way," he said. "Either during or after the season."
Deveaux finished last season with 25 tackles and an interception.
