Duke first to offer Carolina DB

Winston-Salem (N.C.) Parkland cornerback/receiver Antonio Wardlow already has picked up his first scholarship offer. So it’s no surprise that he’ll be one of the area’s better recruits for the Class of 2005. So who is Wardlow?
“He’s the man,” Parkland coach Dee Brown said. “We will throw it up to him, and he just comes down with the catch.”

Wardlow, who is 6-foot-1 and 175 pounds, already has an early offer from Duke, but is also getting heavy attention from Michigan, N.C. State, Tennessee and Virginia Tech.
“I’m aggressive, Wardlow said. “I just go out there and make plays.”
Even though, Wardlow could project as a receiver for many teams but with his coverage and play-making ability he likely could be an impact cornerback or safety in college – especially with so many teams going after taller and bigger play-makers at the cornerback spot.
