Duke is riding a huge waive of momentum on the recruiting trail in June, securing eight commitments this month and currently setting with the No. 26 class in the country.

Collierville (Tenn.) three-star offensive lineman Robert Bourdon is one of the latest Blue Devil commitments, announcing his pledge on June 13th after his weekend official.

The 6-foot-6, 292-pound prospect explains why Duke was the perfect fit over the likes of Vanderbilt, Purdue, and Stanford.

- On biggest reasons for committing to Duke:

"During the official visit, I got the feeling that it was the right place for me and that I was genuinely wanted by the coaches. After talking to my parents, I realized it would not be fair to keep my visits to Purdue and Stanford if I knew in my heart that Duke was the one."

- On how his commitment went down:

"After talking to my parents, I told my grandparents and my best friend. Then, I called (offensive line) coach (Adam) Cushing and he was pumped. He put me on speaker phone and the other coaches in the room were going crazy. It was really special. He put me on with (offensive coordinator/quarterbacks) Coach (Kevin) Johns and they asked me to call (head) Coach (Mike) Elko. They really made me feel like it was a big win for them too. But I knew I had to make some hard phone calls, so I took a day to do that before announcing it on social media. I had no idea so many of the guys were going to commit from our official visit weekend. It is crazy."

- On his relationships with the Duke staff:

"I feel like I have developed a great relationship with Coach Cushing over the past year. He started recruiting me last fall and we have talked regularly ever since. I also have a great relationship with Coach Johns as he lived here in Memphis and I played football with his sons, Tyler and Logan. I like that Coach Cushing is so open and honest. I know he is going to push me to be my best on and off the field. I think Coach Johns is a very intelligent coordinator. I can’t wait to play for these two men. I think we are going to have a lot of fun on offense."

- On what the coaching staff likes about his film:

"I think they like my size and athleticism and that I move well. I play in the attack position in lacrosse so I can run well too. They talk about playing me in the tackle position, which is great because that is where I love to play – left tackle."

- On which players he hung out with the most during his official visit:

"My player host was Brian Parker, which was great because my mom and his aunt are really good friends, even though he and I didn’t know that going in to the weekend. We had a player-only dinner, we rode go-karts and we went to the lake, so I got to know the other recruits and a few other players. I knew going in that Duke was a beautiful, high academic school, so spending time with the players and recruits was really important to me."
