Duffy closer to a decision

Indian Trail (N.C.) Porter Ridge athlete Chris Duffy is closing in on a decision. What is the 5-foot-11, 190-pounder thinking with the summer quickly coming to a close?
"Not much is really going on," he said. "I just went to Florida State's camp and that's the only one I've gone to."

Duffy gave his thoughts on his Seminole experience.
"It was nice," he said. "We did a lot of one-on-ones and 7-on-7's. I didn't really talk to the coaches about it."
Duffy doesn't believe any other trips are coming up at this time.
At the moment, he claims offers from East Carolina, Tennessee and Charlotte.
One other school is showing serious interest.
"Appalachian State is interested," he said. "They want me to play running back for them a little bit. They want me to come down there."
So is anyone currently sticking out for Duffy?
"I'm really thinking about committing to East Carolina here soon," he stated. "I went there for the spring game and I talked to the coaching staff and the head coach. He seemed like a really nice guy."
Duffy noted a plan to visit the Pirates soon.
"I'm probably going to visit there really soon," he said. "I got a visit coming up next weekend I believe."
Duffy accounted for 1,500-yards of offense and 22 total touchdowns last season. He added 22 tackles and five interceptions while registering all-state honors as a defensive back.
