Ducks land four star OL

Hucko selected the Ducks over other offers from Arizona, ASU, Cal, Washington, WSU, Colorado and Nebraska.

Not a bad list of schools, is it?
“I really liked the Oregon coaching staff,” Hucko said. “I also liked the Eugene area.”
“Oregon is far enough away from home where I will have to stand on my own,” Hucko said. “But it is close enough for my parents to come and see me play.”
Was there any other school that was close in this recruiting race?
“ASU really impressed me with the way the run their program and facilities,” Hucko said. “But ASU wasn’t really what I was looking for in an area, atmosphere and weather.”
“In reality Oregon was always the front runner,” Hucko said. “Even before I did the research I liked Oregon. It just so happened that Oregon was the best school for me anyway.”
The Ducks get a talented offensive tackle only allowed two sacks as a junior. His performance saw him selected CIF Offensive Lineman of the Year, League Offensive Lineman of the Year, all-state and all-CIF.
The scouting report on Hucko is that he is a little better at pass blocking at this time than a run blocker. Still Hucko is a solid run blocker who working hard at improving both techniques.
Hucko currently benches 315 pounds and has a very impressive power clean of 300 pounds.
The Ducks get a good one in Hucko.
