DT Young pulls big offer
A big offer is in for Durham (N.C.) Hillside defensive tackle Eric Young. Who pulled the trigger on the 6-foot-3, 350-pounder and what does he think of his third scholarship?
"I don't really know when they offered, but Florida State gave me a verbal offer," he said. "They called and said they are very interested in me and want me to come there. I haven't gotten the letter in the mail. I was shocked myself.

"The coaches told me they liked my size and speed and the way I play the game."
The Seminoles coaches also discussed a visit.
"They told me that they'd like me to come down on an official in November," he said. "I just want to go and see how the campus is and how the football team gets ready for games. I want to see the atmosphere. I also hope the coaches are cool and that they have a respect for their players."
Young maintains he doesn't know a lot about Florida State.
"I don't know too much about their program, I think it's a good school and a place I have a chance."
The two-star prospect claims no other visits are set at this time.
Currently the season is wrapping up for the massive tackle.
"We've got two regular season games left," he said. "We just need to focus on the ring and accomplish what we want."
