The prospects currently committed to Pitt are a tight bunch and know each other very well.
Many of them have communicated with one another since hearing the news of the coaching shakeup earlier today. Four-star defensive tackle Marquise Wright is taking a patient approach to the entire ordeal, which is what most of Pitt's current commits seem to be doing.
"I was shocked," Wright told Rivals.com on Tuesday night. "I didn't believe it at first but I do now.
"I'm still gonna go to Pitt. If the whole coaching staff changes then I don't know what's going to happen, though. I'm just going to wait it out."
Wright said he has spoken with Kyshoen Jarrett and some of the other prospects also committed to the Panthers.
"They're all feeling the same way," he said.
Most of the other prospects that have spoken publicly on the events of the day have said they are still committed but will wait to see what happens with the assistant coaches that were part of Dave Wannstedt's staff.
Wright, a 6-foot-3, 265-pound defensive tackle, is Pitt's most highly rated recruit in this class.
