DT Will Wait Even After Georgia Offer

Chatham (Va.) Hargrave Military defensive linemen Ray Gant had a good visit to Georgia this weekend and left with an offer in hand. However, the 6-foot-3, 280-pounder will take his time before deciding.
“Ray had a good time down there,” said Hargrave Military assistant coach Chris Snead. “He was excited to be offered and really liked Georgia, but he has some other schools to see.”
Gant will visit Auburn and Tennessee for sure and expects offers from both on his trips. He’s also expected to be offered by Virginia and Virginia Tech and could take visits to both as well.
“Once schools see Ray in person, they’ll offer,” said Snead. “He’s a physical specimen and a very good football player.”
Gant hails from Chapel Hill, N.C. but apparently isn’t looking to go back to his home state.
