DT Wade attends Ohio State spring game

Last weekend defensive tackle Cameron Wade out of Bedford (Ohio) Chanel headed to Columbus for Ohio State's spring game. The 6-foot-3, 260-pounder enjoyed his time visiting with the Buckeyes.
"It was a lot of fun, but I didn't really get to meet with any of the coaches on my trip," he said. "I had a good experience there still and I thought their team looked really good. The environment there is always great and out on the field I saw that the center and defensive tackles were pretty strong. I think I could play right with those guys with some more training."

The Buckeyes are just one of a handful of schools the lineman prospect is hearing from along with Stanford, Duke, Boston College, Indiana, Iowa and Minnesota among others. Does Wade have any other visits planned in the future?
"I'm up in the air on heading out to Stanford on May 5th," he said. "Then I'm also considering heading to Indiana, Ohio State and Duke for camps in June."
Currently two schools lead for Wade's services.
"I've love to go to Stanford because of the educational option," he said. "I'm also very interested in playing for Ohio State because they are my home school. Besides those programs, I'm still pretty wide open."
With so many options presenting themselves, what is the tackle prospect looking for out of a college?
"The main thing I'm looking for is an education because I'm looking to go into either pre-med or business," he said. "I also am looking for a school that has a good atmosphere that'll fit me right."
Wade is not only a standout football player, but he also excels on the wrestling mats.
"I won the state championship in the heavyweight division for the second year in a row this season," he said. "I'm still keeping my options open to pursue that at the next level too. I'll choose the sport I feel more comfortable with, but right now it is pretty even. I am getting recruited by a lot of the wrestling teams in the Big Ten like Ohio State, Penn State, Minnesota and others."
In football last season, Wade earned all-conference honors.
