DT Tillman pulls first offer

Offer No. 1 has come in for Washington (D.C.) Dunbar defensive tackle Charles Tillman. The 6-foot-2, 315-pounder landed the scholarship from a Division I college on Friday.
"I got an offer from East Carolina," he said. "To me, that's really good. I looked up the school on the internet and I like the environment and it looks like a place I'd like to play.

"I know East Carolina has a very good defense. I'd like to play under their defensive coordinator."
Obviously the Pirates aren't the only team to take notice of Tillman.
"I'm hearing from New Mexico, Pittsburgh, Maryland, Louisville, West Virginia and Massachusetts," he said. "I do like Maryland and Pittsburgh. Both of them aren't too far away from home and both have good football programs. I know Pittsburgh has a good academic program too. I also have developed a bond with their coaches and have visited both schools."
While he's already taken a few unofficial visits, more are coming soon.
"I'm making plans to go to Pittsburgh and Maryland for camp," he said. "I'm going to try to get down to New Mexico and I'm supposed to get down to East Carolina. They want me to come to camp. I know all of them are coming up soon."
Tillman maintains he's open and touched on what he's looking for in a college.
"I want a full ride," he said. "I'm also looking to major in engineering or maybe computer technology, so I want a good program for that. I also don't want a really big school. Anywhere is good to me if I can play."
The D.C. lineman is coming off a solid season in which he earned all-metro honors after posting 37 tackles and seven sacks.
Tillmans recently wrapped up track as well where he throws the shot putt and discus. He placed second in the district in the shot putt.
