DT Tillman claims a favorite

Defensive tackle Charles Tillman out of Washington (D.C.) Dunbar continues to claim one scholarship. The 6-foot-2, 334-pounder is hearing from numerous other schools with the possibility of more offers to come.
"I've got an offer from East Carolina," he said. "I'm hearing from New Mexico. I believe they are close to offering me. I'm waiting to see how that goes.

"I'm still hearing from Louisville, Maryland, Virginia, Pittsburgh and West Virginia. They all want to wait until this season to see how I improve."
Do any schools lead for the two-star prospect?
"East Carolina does right now," he said. "They've got a great defense and I like the way they run their schemes.
"I just came from East Carolina two weeks ago. It was fun. I worked out in front of the coaches and showed them what I can do. They said they like me a lot and were just basically waiting on me."
Tillman mentioned a possible visit to New Mexico, but has nothing planned at this time.
The D.C. lineman begins two-a-days next week in preparation for the season opener on August 28th.
"I've seen a lot of improvement heading into this season in the way I come off the ball and my quickness has gotten better. I'm also using my hands better and I'm stronger."
