Bedford (Va.) Lynchburg defensive tackle Brandon Sparrow pulled his first offer earlier this week. The 6-foot-4, 250-pounder landed the offer from the MAC.
"I got my first offer on Wednesday from Ohio University," he said. "I was shocked when they said they were going to offer me. I don't know what to think.
"I know really nothing about their program, but I did meet with the assistant coach and he seemed like a nice guy."

A few other schools are looking at Sparrow as well.
"Virginia came by the school and my coach believes Marshall is coming in," he said. "My coach thinks they may offer.
"I am hearing from Maryland, Wake Forest and Virginia Tech as well."
Sparrow is making plans for summer camps already.
"I'm planning to go to Wake Forest, Maryland and Virginia Tech all for one day camps in June. All three of those have picked up interest in me."
The Central Virginia prospect claims no favorites at this time.
"I like everybody right now," he said. "I just want to get a good education first wherever I go."
