DT passes the eye-ball test

One of the most intriguing football players in Florida this year is Sebastian (Fla.) Sebastian River’s Kevin Williams. The 6-foot-7 and 290 pound defensive tackle, who runs a 4.9 40-yard dash, has college scouts drooling over his size/speed combination. One school has the edge and several others are in hot pursuit.
“My top three schools are Miami, Florida, and Tennessee,” Williams said. “I also like Louisiana State some because of their coaches. Miami is my favorite. They called me on the phone to tell me to keep working hard. Miami wants me to come to their camp to see if they like me. Florida called me up to see if I liked their school. I said yes. I like Tennessee because my brother attends school in that state, and it would be nice to be close to him.”
Williams told FlaRecruiting.com that the two main factors in selecting a college will be finding a place close to home, and one where he’ll get a good education.
This spring Sebastian River squared off against North Palm Beach in a jamboree. In that game Williams racked up 10 tackles and three and half sacks in only three quarters of play.
Editor's note:
As of now Williams doesn’t have any offers, but that should change soon. According to a good source, college scouts are very high on him. Williams has only played one year of high school football. With more experience and seasoning, he could end up being one best defensive tackles in the country.
