DT Niles decommits

Gainesville, Ga. defensive tackle Thomas Niles gave a pledge back in May. The 6-foot-2, 260-pounder is having some second thoughts and has now reopened his recruitment.
"I decommitted today from NC State," he said. "I just want to look more at colleges and have a better look at things. Since I'm committed there are some schools recruiting me harder and others are shying away. I just want to explore my options."

Niles maintains the Wolfpack is still under consideration.
"I'm still looking at them," he said. "I still got the same feelings about them, but I want to look at other places too. I don't dislike them."
The three-star prospect maintains he is eyeing Tennessee, Arkansas, Florida International and Middle Tennessee State.
Not too long ago Niles visited Tennessee.
"That's a nice place, I like the playing environment and it's on top of a mountain."
Now that he's opened things up, what is Niles plan from here?
"I'm just going to explore my options and look at all the schools," he said. "I think I'm going to take all five of my officials."
