DT Magee has 6 offers and growing

Oswego, Ill. defensive line prospect Alex Magee (6-foot-5, 270 pounds) has been very busy this summer. Between getting ready for his senior season, Magee works a summer job as well as always being on the move. Magee was able to slow down for a few minutes to fill us in on his recruiting, offers and his remaining summer plans.
“You know how things are with me," Alex Magee said. “I'm always busy doing something this summer. I now have six scholarship offers, and the last time we talked I had just my first offer from Illinois. I now have offers from Illinois, Northern Illinois, Ball State, Indiana, Pitt and Louisville."

Magee made his first college camp this week at the University of Illinois.
"We went to the University of Illinois as a team, and we had about 35 players at Illinois for the full camp. I was really worked hard at the Illinois camp, and I really liked the fact that the Illinois coaches really used the camp to teach us a lot of drills and fundamentals. The coaching and the whole set-up was very impressive at the Illinois camp. I also liked the competiton at the camp, and I feel that I did well overall."
Magee is also trying to get to a few more camps later this summer.
"I'm trying to get to both Ball State and Purdue for one-day camps in mid to late July. I wanted to go to a few more camps, but between my team commitments and my summer job, it's just been tough to get to a lot of camps."
Has Magee started to narrow down his favorite schools list, and does he have a time-frame when he might make his final decision?
"As far as early favorites, I would say that Illinois is right at the top of my list. I have a really good relationship with Coach (Donnie) Thompson, and I just like the campus, the coaches and the players at Illinois a lot right now."
"I'm in no hurry to make any decisions. I want to take my time with all of the recruiting, and I might not narrow down anything until the end of the season."
