DT Magee adds offer and names Top 4

Oswego, Ill. defensive line prospect Alex Magee (6-foot-5, 270 pounds) has been working hard to get ready for his senior year this summer, and Magee has also been giving his college choices and options some serious consideration. Magee has added an offer from the Purdue Boilermakers this week, and Magee talks about his latest offer as well as his Top 4 favorite schools list.
“I received an offer from Purdue this week," Alex Magee said. “I need to give Coach (Mark) Hagen a call soon, I received the paperwork in the mail a few days ago from Purdue."

Magee talked about what he knows about the Purdue program.
"I don't know a lot right now about Purdue, but I do know that they have been a very successful team over the last several years. Purdue also offers a very strong education and that the campus is close to home, a lot closer to home than I originally thought. I'm going to call Coach Hagen soon and I want to make an unofficial visit to Purdue before the end of the summer."
Magee is also currently focusing on four schools.
"I'm not sure if you'd call these my final four choices, because I'm still considering everyone that is considering me at this point. I'm focusing on Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa and Purdue for now. Those four schools are recruiting me the hardest, and those four are schools that I'm looking into the most."
Magee in the meantime is getting ready to defend the Panthers Class 7A state title for his senior year.
"I've been working out hard this summer, plus I also have a summer job and that has been keeping me busy as well. My team camp has gone pretty well so far, and we realize that we have a state title to defend this year. We graduated several players from our state title team last year, and a lot of people will write us off this year. I think we'll be a pretty good team and that we'll surprise some people along the way."
Alex Magee is scheduled to attend a one-day camp at Michigan State in mid-July.
