Skinny: Metairie (La.) Rummel is always home to some of the Southeast’s top prospects year in and year out. And up next for Rumel is standout 6-foot-5, 285-pound defensive Nader Abdallah.
Abdallah, who racked up 14 sacks as a junior, is the pure-passing rushing defensive tackle that is need to be a success in today’s college game. You ask him what he does best, and he has a relatively simple – and exciting – answer for the college coaches.
“I’m a pass rusher first, second and last,” he said. “That’s what I do best. I’m a good run stopper, too, but I’m a pass rusher first.”
That sounds like music to the ears of the countless college coaches that are recruiting him – but he did admit that he grew up a fan of two schools first and foremost. Those two schools are LSU and Miami.
So what will Abdallah look at when it comes time to make a decision?
“I think the education I can get will be key,” he said.
“I also think the athletic facilities, location and the football reputation will also be important to be, but education is first.
"I guess I want the best all-around college.”
