Pittsburgh (Pa.) Allderdice defensive tackle Tyrique Jarrett has a solid offer list but he's hoping at least one more school throws their hat into the ring.
The Pennsylvania lineman has reeled in tenders from Cincinnati, UConn, Pittsburgh and several others, but Jarrett is holding out hope that Virginia Tech could offer as well.
"I would like to take an official visit to Virginia Tech," Jarrett said late this week. "They came to my school to come see me and get my highlight tape and they told me to stay in touch. I'd just like to hear more from them."
Jarrett hasn't mapped out any of his officials yet and he said he's keeping an open mind.
It's unlikely that those officials will come within the next couple of months.
"I'm probably going to take my visits during the winter," he said. "I don't know how many I'm going to take. I'll visit the schools that are close to me unofficially and get out to the other ones on official visits."
This summer the 6-foot-3, 320-pound defensive tackle visited Pitt and Toledo. He's still trying to plan an unofficial to West Virginia for before the season starts but it's unclear if that will materialize.
