Jacob Bandes took an unofficial visit to Alabama over the weekend and it’s a trip he won’t forget throughout his recruitment.
The 2019 four-star defensive tackle from Pittsburg, Calif., had an excellent time, made a lot of memories and is hopeful the Crimson Tide continue to come after him.
“I had many standouts on my visit,” Bandes said.
“For example, I had the wearing of the jersey, I had a lot of bonding with my dad, I got to meet coach (Tosh) Lupoi and see coach (Nick) Saban in person.
“Coach Lupoi really likes me and likes my film and the defensive line coach Karl Dunbar, he likes me as well and my film.”
So far, the 6-foot-3, 285-pound four-star standout has landed offers from Colorado, Oregon, Oregon State, San Jose State, UCLA, Utah and Washington.
An offer was not discussed during Bandes’ visit to Tuscaloosa but he’s hopeful things continue to move forward with the Alabama staff.
“They did not talk about an offer,” Bandes said. “Coach Lupoi said he was going to evaluate more on me and just go on from there.”
As for other trips, the Northern California prospect is heading to Washington soon. If the family drives up, stops at Oregon and Oregon State are possible. If Bandes flies, then he’ll just see the Huskies on this visit.
