DT favors Gators, Tigers, Spartans

Dillard High School is usually one of the top talent producers in Broward County, Florida. Year in and year out the Panthers produce a handful of D1 prospects. This year should be no different and one of the best from Dillard is Pat Sims.
The 6-foot-3, 260-pound defensive tackle is drawing the attention of many of the top teams in the SEC and Big 10. He already has offers from Florida, Auburn, LSU, Michigan State and Ohio State. Of the schools that have offered, his early favorites are Florida, Auburn and Michigan State.

"Florida was the first school to recruit me and that's why I like them so much," Sims said. "Auburn has a great situation where I may be able to go in and start and Michigan State said I could play my freshman season."
As a junior Sims recorded 75 tackles, 24 for loss, and 14 quarterback sacks. He uses his 4.8 speed to come off the ball and make plays in the opponent's backfield.
"I want to improve my speed, strength and conditioning," he said. "If that happens there is no telling how much better I can get."
He plans on camping at LSU, Michigan State, Auburn and Florida this summer.
