DT Crawford adds four offers

Aaron Crawford is quickly becoming one of the hottest recruits in the region. Within the past week the defensive tackle from Ashburn (Va.) Stone Bridge has picked up four new offers.
"Virginia offered me over the weekend," said the 6-foot-1, 290-pound Crawford. "To be honest I really don't know much about their program. I knew they were a very good academic school but, now that they are giving me a chance, I'll mix them in with all the other schools to help me make my decision. I had a very brief conversation with one of the coaches.

"Virginia Tech offered and I know Coach Beamer has built a very prestigious program down there," he said. "He is one of the most winningest coaches in all of college football. When I went down on the visit last weekend it was a great time. The entire coaching staff was very welcoming and the campus was beautiful. We had a great time.
"Maryland also offered on Thursday," Crawford said. "I don't really know a lot about them. My mom graduated from there and I have a cousin there now. I don't really know much about it other than my family ties. I talked to some of the coaches Thursday night."
By the looks of things, Crawford's recruitment could be gaining momentum.
"I think Penn State and Kentucky are close to offering," he said. "We're going to the Maryland game on Monday against Syracuse. Next weekend we'll be going down to see Duke, N.C. State and possibly Wake Forest along the way."
Old Dominion also offered Crawford on Thursday night. Duke, North Carolina and Wake Forest have already offered Crawford.
