DT Casey remaining patient

Rochester (N.Y.) Mcquaid Jesuit School defensive tackle Cullen Casey holds two offers at this time. The 6-foot-4, 280-pounder is seeing his interest rise as he starts to eye summer camps.
"I have new interest from Pittsburgh, Boston College and Vanderbilt," he said. "They all like my motor and my instincts on both sides of the ball. Pittsburgh saw me work out in person and told me once schools see me work out and work hard live that it will confirm what they like on tape."

Currently Casey has offers from Old Dominion and Bucknell.
"Hopefully more offers will come in the spring, especially now that my foot is 100% now and I'm running around well."
The only recent visit for Casey was a trip to Duke.
"It was great, it was my second time there," he said. "I will have to camp there according to the defensive coordinator in order to receive an offer because they are only taking one defensive tackle. They aren't sure about my competition level. New York competition level is a big reason why some schools are waiting for me to camp."
Camps are obviously next.
"I'm going to Duke, Boston College, Delaware and possibly two others ones," he said. "Some visits could change though depending on the spring evaluation period."
Casey noted that at this time a few schools stick out a bit.
"I like the possibilities of Connecticut, Pittsburgh, Rutgers and Syracuse," he said. "The reason is because they have shown interest in me and I'm going to camp where I have the possibility of earning a scholarship and succeeding at that school."
