DT Brown favors Terps

Defensive tackle Garrett Brown out of Fairfield (Conn.) Fairfield Prep isn't closing in on a decision quite yet despite favoring the Terps. What does he think about Maryland and who else is he still considering before a decision?
"I really like Maryland and all the schools I've visited, but I will probably make my decision by the end of October. I'm not planning to decide anytime this summer," he said. "I'm still weighing my options and everything, then I have to take the SAT in October."

What stands out about the Terrapins?
"I went down there and I really like coach Sollazzo," he said. "I can understand the way he coaches and the school atmosphere there. A couple people I know go to school there too and they really like it, so that's another factor for me."
Brown did mention that Maryland will get an official visit.
Brown is still considering Ole Miss, Michigan State and Wisconsin.
"I do really like all those schools especially Michigan State," he said. "The atmosphere of them really appeals to me and that helps, but my options are always open still."
The No. 10 prospect in New England is looking forward to the season starting back up on September 16th when Fairfield Prep battles Notre Dame West Haven.
"I'm looking forward to being a captain and making sure the leadership factor is there."
Brown racked up 83 tackles, 35 for loss, 15 sacks and five fumble recoveries as a junior.
