DT Arthurs enjoyed his excellent adventure

Wheaton (Ill.) junior defensive tackle prospect Chris Arthurs (6-foot-1, 260 pounds) returned from his excellent adventure last Saturday, or make that early Sunday morning with plenty of impressions and memories. Arthurs made college junior day visits at both the University of Illinois and the University of Iowa.
"I wish I could say that I was really tired from driving all of that distance," Arthurs said. "But I can't lie, my parents basically did all of the driving. It was a really long day on Saturday, but I'm happy that I was able to make both junior days at Illinois and Iowa."

Arthurs started his day well before 6AM on Saturday morning, with the University of Illinois his first destination.
"We were up really early on Saturday morning, and we had breakfast before we left. We were on the road by 6AM and we arrived in Champaign around 9AM. I had a chance to talk with the coaches, including head coach Ron Zook and the rest of the coaches. I also was able to take a tour of the facilities at Illinois. I came away really impressed with the facilities at Illinois. Coach (Ron) Zook seems like a really good guy, and I also was impressed with the rest of the coaches at Illinois."
Arthurs and his family then headed back to the car around 11AM and drove out to Iowa City for the University of Iowa junior day activities.
"We arrived at Iowa around 3PM. I was able to have dinner with the Iowa coaches, and then we also had time to tour the facilities. We also had a chance to check out the academic facility for athletes at Iowa and that was very impressive. I also went to the basketball game that night and watched the Hawkeyes beat Northwestern. I came away with a very strong impression of Iowa, and I can definitely see why both Tony (Moeaki) and Dace (Richardson) decided to go to Iowa. Iowa has a lot to offer, from it's facilities and coaching staff to it's fans and it's strength and conditioning program. Everything at Iowa was just top notch, and they really seem like they take care of it's athletes at Iowa."
The Arthurs family arrived back home early Sunday morning around 12:30AM.
"It was a really long day, but I think we all agree that it was definitely worth the trip. I'm going to junior days at both Northwestern on Saturday and Michigan on Sunday. I'm then heading to Purdue and then Notre Dame the following weekend for junior day events."
