Driskel down to five schools

Jeff Driskel, one of the most coveted quarterback prospects in the entire 2011 recruiting class, is getting closer and closer to a decision. Driskel, 6-3 and 225 pounds, is now down to five schools. This Oveido, Fla., standout is hoping to make his decision some time in the very near future.
"Florida and Auburn kind of standout above all the programs out there," Driskel said earlier today the Nike Football Training Camp at the University of Florida. "But it helps those two schools because I have been to see them. I also like Alabama, LSU and Tennessee.

"Right now the plan is to decide on something soon, maybe after spring football. I want to get it done because I am graduating early."
Driskel was one of the most impressive prospects today at the Nike Football Training Camp. He showcased his big and accurate arm.
"I thought I did well out there," Driskel said. "There is so much you can take away from an event like this. For me, I am really trying hard to work on my footwork and fine tune things with my mechanics. I see the improvement."
Driskel is playing baseball this spring for Hagerty High School. He plays centerfield and is hitting .350. Is baseball in his college future as well?
"It is but I am going to college to play football."
