Dray is headed to the West Coast

Stanford had their first big recruiting weekend of the year this past week and scored big in landing one of the nation's top tight ends in James Dray. Dray said his commitment is firm and he will not be taking any other visits.
Dray, 6-4, 220 pounds is currently rated as the nation's No. 12 tight end prospect and said just a week ago that he was not close to making a decision and had yet to really narrow his choices down yet. That all changed last weekend.

"I just knew Stanford was the best place for me," Dray said. "I visited Boston College and was looking to take the rest of my trips but I'm done, I'm going to Stanford. It's a special place there and I knew right away that it was where I wanted to be. I like Coach (Walt) Harris and I've actually known him for awhile because he recruited me at Pitt. You can't beat the education at Stanford and I love the location too, it was just a great overall fit."
Dray had a visit set to Notre Dame for (Jan. 21) but will cancel it and also considered and had offers from Florida State , Iowa and Tennessee.
