Dozier primed for a big senior season

Round Rock (Texas) Stony Point cornerback Julian Dozier has been helping his case this offseason in getting noticed by colleges. He has performed well at all of the events he has attended. He has run well and showed good athleticism. In turn he has also received his first offer, with hopes that more are to come.
"Summer has been going pretty good," Dozier said. "I received an offer from Texas State."

Despite the offer, Dozier wants to keep a very open mind about all of his college options. In fact, he thinks that he may have more options coming soon after he gets a few games into his senior season.
"Texas State was the only offer but everybody that is recruiting me seems real interested," he said. "A lot of coaches are waiting until they can come watch my first couple of games."
Though Dozier doesn't list any schools in particular that he hopes to come calling, he is confident that with a good performance as a senior, the offers will come.
"Really my main focus right now is to put up really good numbers," he said. "I mean this is my senior year, so I can pull in the offers that I'm hoping for. I haven't eliminated anyone yet and I'm really just trying to get my name out in the open."
As a junior, Dozier intercepted three passes while compiling 56 tackles.
