Dozen offers for DC ATH

Athlete Devin Butler of Washington (D.C.) Gonzaga is up to a dozen offers after picking up his most recent from Virginia yesterday at their junior day. Butler will hit the road once again next weekend to check out another ACC school that has already offered.
"The junior day was good," said Butler. "We went to the basketball game and walked around the campus. I really liked the feel of the campus."

Butler gave his overall thoughts on this most recent offer from Virginia.
"The program is on the rise," said Butler. "I like it. I know some guys down there and it really seemed like a cool place to be."
Butler, who is receiving all of his recruiting interest as a cornerback at this time, will hit the road once again next weekend to check out North Carolina.
"I really want to see the campus from the player's eye, and not just what the coaches have to show me," said Butler. "I want to see the interactions with the people and the academic buildings from the inside."
Virginia joined previous offers from Nebraska, Iowa, North Carolina, Northwestern, West Virginia, Baylor, Wisconsin, Houston, Boston College, Connecticut and Northern Illinois. He has also been receiving steady interest from Maryland, Penn State, Michigan, Michigan State, South Carolina and Missouri.
He hopes to check out a few more of these schools in the coming months.
"I'm not really sure, but I want to get out to Nebraska, Wisconsin, Northwestern, Iowa and possibly back to Virginia and North Carolina," said Butler, who discussed what he hopes to find in a school. "There are two questions I'm going to ask myself. Would I want to go there if I didn't play football and if all the coaches left would I still want to play for them?"
