Doxey sets first two visits

There hasn't been a better two way player this year than San Diego (Calif.) Hoover athlete Todd Doxey. Doxey is putting up big numbers at safety and receiver and will take his first official visit in two weeks.
Doxey, 6-2, 170 pounds is an elite athlete who earned 2nd team all-state underclass honors as a junior. If he keeps up his current pace, he'll be a cinch for 1st team honors following his senior year.

Hoover is current 4-1 and Doxey has done it all for his squad. At receiver, he has caught 35 balls for 657 yards and seven touchdowns. At safety, the athlete has racked up 45 tackles and four interceptions including one he returned for a touchdown. He also has a 90 yard kickoff return for a touchdown.
"It's been going well so far," Doxey said. "We lost our last game, we were 4-0 but we're playing well and I'm really happy with how I've done as well."
On the recruiting front, Doxey just set a visit with Oregon for (Oct. 13) and will also visit Fresno State (Dec. 1).
"I'm excited about the Oregon visit," Doxey said. "They're playing UCLA that weekend so it should be a pretty crazy atmosphere. Oregon is my top school right now and if the trip goes really well, there is definitely a chance I could just end the process and commit right there.
"I'm just going to play it by ear though and it would be cool to take all my visit. Along with Oregon and Fresno State, I'm also going to set visits with Washington and Washington State.
"As for the last visit, I'm just going to keep it open and see who else recruits me. I'm hearing a lot from Colorado, Cal and Utah so it could be one of those schools. I like UCLA a little too but they have stopped recruiting me I think because I haven't heard from them in awhile. Everyone is recruiting me as an athlete right now and that's fine with me. I don't really have a preference between offense or defense, just whatever gets me on the field the fastest."
