Down To Three For Three-Star TE

The state of New Jersey continues to live up to its hype as producing some of the best high school football players in the country. One of the top players in the class of 2003 is Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic tight end Sam Johnson and he is ready to make a decision very soon.
"I'm down to three schools and I want to get this done before my season starts."

Sam now has 10 offers, but three schools stand out for the 6-foot-3, 235-pound senior-to-be and they all play in the Big East Conference.
"It looks like it's coming down to Rutgers, Syracuse and Pittsburgh," said Sam. "The Big East is a top conference that played in the national championship game three of the last four years and that's good enough for me."
Sam will be camping at Boston College next week although the Eagles are not in his top three. Soon after that he will go to Syracuse for camp and then hopes to make a decision sometime after that.
"I've already been to Rutgers many times and I feel real comfortable there so I wanted to check out a few other schools before my choice."
