Down To Final Two For Star
Newport News (Va.) Heritage running back Mike Johnson has cancelled his latest trip.
"I'm not going to Tennessee this weekend," said the 5-foot-10, 180-pound senior. "They're loaded at running back and I got the feeling they wanted me to play other positions. I figure if I have the number one team in the nation recruiting me at running back, why would I go to Tennessee to play a position I don't want to play?"

That leaves just two teams standing for the superstar running back -- Miami and Virginia.
"Miami still leads right now, but it's really close," he explained. "If I don't have to leave the state I'd rather not, but I've always liked Miami and my visit there was great. And it's Miami -- it doesn't get much better than that."
Johnson visits Virginia on Jan. 18 with a slew of other recruits and the visit will be very important for UVA.
"I think it's all going to come down to playing time and how early I want to play," he said. "I'd obviously have a better chance to play early at Virginia and I need to figure out how important that is to me."
