Dorton getting new interest

Malik Dorton has been receiving steady interest throughout his junior season and the Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco defensive end has picked up more in recent weeks.
Oklahoma has started to get involved as the Sooners started recruiting teammate Nico Falah, a commit to USC, and Dorton is also hearing a lot more from an SEC powerhouse that has definitely piqued his interest.

"I've been hearing a lot of the same things," Dorton said.
"I talked to the Oklahoma coaches last week and I've been getting a lot of interest from the Florida Gators. It hasn't been big yet, the Oklahoma coaches were meeting with Nico, but they showed some interest."
Dorton, an early four-star prospect by Rivals.com, already has offers from Arizona State, Oregon State, UCLA, Utah and Utah State.
The St. John Bosco standout said he plans to send out his junior season highlight film soon and he's hoping to hear from two Pac-12 powerhouses in particular. His film could get more teams involved for sure.
"I'm going to be sending out more film and then I'm going to be hitting a lot of camps in the off-season," Dorton said.
"I would like to hear more from Oregon and USC from the Pac-12 schools."
Dorton, a 6-foot-3, 227-pound prospect, visited UCLA's practice this past weekend and he's made it no secret there is high interest in the Bruins.
But since it's still early in his recruitment and because he's hearing from teams across the country, Dorton said he wants to keep looking at all programs.
"I'm open to all options," Dorton said. "It's still early."
