Dorsey sleeper sets visits

Over the last few years it seems that Los Angeles (Calif.) Dorsey always has a player that very much a sleeper going into his senior season, but a stellar senior year sees the player get on the recruiting map. Once again that has happened and Max Williams (6-0, 188, 4.5) is the player garnering a lot late recruiting attention.
Things are heating up quite nicely Williams has he has three trips set to Washington State, Villanova and Colorado State.

UCLA is also looking at Williams and he even took an unofficial visit to the Westwood campus when his two Dorsey teammates who are committed to UCLA were on their official visit.
Colorado State was on him early in the season, but when Sonny Lubick left, Williams was put on the back burner.
Then lady luck shined on Williams as Colorado State hired a coach from Georgia Tech who was familiar with him because he camped at Tech so once again the Rams are in the hunt.
"I am taking a visit to Washington State this weekend (Jan. 18th)," Williams said. "Next week (Jan. 25th) I'll head to Villanova and then Colorado State the week after that (Feb. 1st).
Williams is a late bloomer because he didn't get a chance to play much as a sophomore or junior. He played at Mater Dei his junior year and didn't see the field much.
The first real action that Williams has a high school player came his senior season. That was the first time he played week in and week out.
Once his film got out schools started to take notice. Williams is very physical and aggressive. He has overcome a lot of obstacles to get to this point and he never quit.
Another thing to like about Williams is he just turned 17 in October so there is a very good chance that he will grow more. He comes from good bloodlines his mom ran track at UCLA and his two other brothers play D-I football.
As a senior, Williams racked up 85 tackles, five deflected passes, two fumble recoveries, one forced fumble and one sack.
Dorsey defensive back coach Carver Russaw is a definite believer in the talents of Williams.
"Max is very strong and is a big hitter," Russaw said. "He really lights people up.
"Max can run so he can chase you down from the backside," Russaw said. "With his hitting ability he is an asset in the box and with his speed, he's excellent in space.
"Max is definitely a D-I player."
