Dorsey sleeper on the map

Almost every year Los Angeles (Calif.) Dorsey has a player who explodes his senior season and ends changing his status from sleeper to prospect. Defensive back Max Williams (6-0, 200, 4.5) is making a name for himself due to his outstanding senior season performance.
"Max is a sleeper because he didn't get a chance to play much as while he was at Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei," Dorsey defensive back coach Carver Russaw said. "He moved over there with his family so he wasn't really known.

"However, we (Dorsey coaching staff) projected him to be a two-year starter for us when he was on our frosh/soph team," Russaw said. "We knew what kind of player Max is.
"Max is getting contacts from Arizona State, Oregon State, Stanford, Washington, Georgia Tech and Wake Forest," Russaw said. "If noticed some pretty impressive academic schools in that list, that's because he's a 4.0 student.
"On defense Max is very strong and is a big hitter," Russaw said. "He really lights people up.
"In our first playoff game against San Pedro last week," Russaw said. "Max actually had three bone crunching hits that ended having the players taking the hits to be removed from the field
"Max can run so he can chase you down from the backside," Russaw said. "With his hitting ability he is an asset in the box and with his speed, he's excellent in space.
"Max is definitely a D-I player."
Williams and his Dorsey teammates will play against Los Angeles (Calif.) Venice this Wednesday in the second round of the playoffs.
