Dorsey DB sees stock rise

One thing you can count on almost every year is Los Angeles (Calif.) Dorsey will supply the D-I colleges with a recruit or two that have strong senior seasons and their status from sleeper to prospect. That's the story of hard hitting cornerback Francis McDonald (5-10, 170, 4.4).
Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado State and San Jose State are beginning to show interest in McDonald.

"Arizona State is me and they told me they are highly recruiting me," McDonald said. "They are trying to set up a visit with me.
"San Jose State talked to my coach," McDonald said. "They told my coach that they are going to call me up and set up a trip.
In an earlier interview with Dorsey defensive back coach Carver Russaw, he had the following thing to say about his talented defensive back.
"Francis is definitely a D-I talent," Russaw said. "He took over the job as a junior and he's been improving ever since.
"Francis could be our second best hitter on the team. Though he's a great cover corner, he's outstanding in run support. He's not afraid to mix it up.
"Francis is also plays wide receiver for us and he's great there too," Russaw said. "We think so much about Francis that we are going to reach out other Pac 10 teams that we have players at like Arizona, Cal and Oregon.
A two-year starter, McDonald in nine games has 35 tackles and four interceptions. He picked off three passes against Los Angeles (Calif.) Jefferson last Friday (November 2nd).
As a junior, McDonald earned all-league honors after racking up 45 tackles and two interceptions.
Dorsey (6-3) is back on the winning track and is beginning to sharpen for a strong playoff run. McDonald and his Dorsey teammates will take on Los Angeles (Calif.) Manual Arts this Friday.
Already a qualifier with his 2.9 GPA and though he has scored an 1180 SAT, he's going to take the test again.
