"That was crazy. It was my first time at Michigan for a game. The atmosphere was real good. They have good student support.
"That's when Michigan offered. After the game in the locker room coach Carr offered me. I told him they are very high on my list.
"Right now I think I have about 12 scholarship offers. I'd say about eight or nine are in writing.
"Right now I'm looking at about four schools, Michigan, Nebraska, Iowa State, and Duke. All of them offered.
"I haven't set up any official visits. I'll wait till after the season. I'll definitely visit those four. I don't have a favorite, just a top four."
The 6-foot-6 and 283-pound Dorrestein is playing offensive left tackle. He leads his team with a 90% blocking efficiency.
Dorrestein is the No. 16 prospect in the state of Illinois in the Rivals.com player rankings.
