Dorrestein impressed with weekend

Plainfield (Ill.) Central junior offensive tackle prospect Perry Dorrestein (6-foot-7, 285 pounds) has now made a handful of college junior day visits this winter, yet Dorrestein admits that his Sunday visit to the University of Notre Dame will be hard for any school to beat.
"Notre Dame was simply awesome," Dorrestein said. "It was just a great experience for myself and my parents on Sunday."

Dorrestein talked about what stood out on his Notre Dame junior day visit on Sunday.
"I had a chance to meet all of the coaches at Notre Dame, including head coach (Charlie) Weis, Rob Ianello as well as defensive line coach Jappy Oliver. I actually met Coach Oliver when I was about 9 year old. I went to an Air Force summer camp when I lived out in Colorado and he was one of the coaches at the camp. He got a big kick out of it when I told him that I remembered him from that camp. He didn't recognize me at all, I was just a little butter ball back then."
"Myself and my parents were basically impressed with everything at Notre Dame. The campus is just awesome and we really enjoyed the campus tours, the lectures, everything. The campus is just the right size and is just a great college setting. We had lunch before the basketball game and I had a chance to talk with the coaches and I also got to know some of the other recruits."
"I'm planning to go to the Notre Dame camp this summer. The coaches are pretty excited about getting a chance to see what I can so at the camp. I had a great day overall at Notre Dame on Sunday."
