Dores, Tide on Georgia DBs favorites

Alpharetta (Ga.) Chattahoochee defensive back Justin Berryman has made some adjustments to his list entering the summer.
“I think Vanderbilt’s showing the most interest right now, and I really like them a lot,” he said. “It’s a great school. The academics are second to none, and I think the coaching staff they have now – those guys who came from Furman – are going to get them playing a lot better. I think their program is going to get a lot better.”

Berryman (6-1, 190, 4.6) is also receiving interest from Alabama, Notre Dame, North Carolina, Boston College, Colorado, Georgia Tech and a host of Ivy League schools due to his academic standing (3.7 GPA, 1150 SAT).
“My top six are Vandy, Notre Dame, Alabama, North Carolina, Boston College and Florida,” he said. “I haven’t heard a whole lot from Florida yet, but that’s a school I’m very interested in. I hope they start talking to me more.
“Alabama is showing a lot more interest of late. I’m going to their camp this summer. I want to see what their campus is like and how coach (Mike) Shula is.”
Notre Dame, North Carolina and Boston College are his other tentative camp destinations.
As a junior, Berryman earned all-region honors after recording 84 tackles and one interception in eight games.
