Junior to Watch: Tez Doolittle
School: Opelika, Ala.

Position: Strongside defensive end
Size and Speed: Doolittle is 6-foot-3 and 260 pounds. He has tremendous strength for his size. Doolittle bench-presses 335 pounds and squats 500 pounds along with a vertical jump of 36 inches. That is getting up for a big man. Doolittle has been timed in the 40-yard dash in 4.7 seconds. He also has 3.1 GPA.
Honors: Doolittle earned all-area honors as a junior.
Favorite schools: Miami, Georgia, LSU, Auburn and Alabama – all of which have offered him.
Skinny: Opelika, Ala., strongside defensive end Tez Doolittle will be one of the top prospects for the Class of 2003 in the entire nation and he has the offers to prove it.
With impressive offers on the table from a who’s who among the nation’s elite, Doolittle has the size and speed to be an impact defensive end along with a nasty disposition.
”I come to make plays,” Doolittle said. “That’s what it’s all about – making big plays every night out there.”
What are some of the things Doolittle be looking for when it comes to choosing a school?
"One will be the graduation rate and how the campus looks to me,” he said. “That’s key along with the relationship that I have with the coaches. Another thing I'm going to look at is who has been playing for championships.”
With this in mind, Doolittle said Miami and LSU might have a good shot of landing this prized recruit since they are fresh off a national championship and a SEC title.
"The camps that I will be attending, will be Georgia, LSU and Auburn," he said. "Leaving the state won't be a big deal either. I just want the best opportunity for me.”
