Dont get down about Brown

HUMBLE, Texas - It was supposed to be a big breakout year for junior running back Reggie Brown that would hold rushing yards in the thousands and a highlight reel full of touchdown runs, but that all changed when an injury was sustained over the summer postponing his plans – at least for now.
Now, the 5-foot-10, 200-pound running back wants to make his senior year even better than most people expected in two seasons. After injuring his ACL during a 7-on-7 tournament, he has had the help of his teammates and coaches in the recovery mode to get back to what he started his sophomore year.

"It's kind of set me back, but I like it because it's a bigger challenge for me to perform well during my senior year," Brown said. "It's still extra pressure, but it's not all bad. I just want to hit my goal as a senior to rush for over 2,000 yards."
Though the goal may seem lofty, the talk of numerous people in and out of the state has been centered around the topic of Brown being one of the top running backs in the state for the 2007 class.
Brown certainly has the ability do that as he started to blow up opposing defenses as merely a sophomore.
"The feeling when I come back is going to be great," Brown said. "I'll finally get to show my skills off to the world on what I can do every play."
Though recruitment should pick up during his senior season when offers usually start coming, Brown has a few thoughts about schools he might like to see interest come from.
"I like Texas, Oklahoma, Florida, and some other teams like that," Brown said. "I've actually got a couple letters from UCLA, Oklahoma State, Baylor, and some more I haven't opened yet."
With Brown's absence, doubters have surfaced but he is quick to answer them.
"The team is still going to do real well," Brown said. "Hopefully they can go out there, make playoffs, and do their thing. I'll be down there on the sidelines for every practice and every game helping out how I can."
