Each year Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep is home to some of the top prospects in the Garden State that inevitably receive attention from schools from across the region and sometimes beyond.
From the Class of 2010 one of Don Bosco's standouts is linebacker Ryan Cobb. The 6-foot, 224-pound prospect performed well in San Antonio earlier this year and greatly helped his stock.
"Recruiting has been going very well," Cobb said. "It seems to have picked up a substantial amount after the Army All-American Combine in Texas.
"I've already been to two junior days, at Rutgers and Boston College. I plan to attend junior days and take visits to UCLA, Oregon, Tennessee, Iowa, Stanford, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Northwestern, Virginia and North Carolina. I've already visited Harvard and Navy."
In addition to those schools listed above, Cobb has also received interest from Michigan, Georgia, Ohio State, Miami, NC State, Maryland, Duke, West Virginia, Colorado, Clemson, Florida State, Florida, Alabama, UConn, Penn State and Kentucky.
"So far six schools have told me they intent to offer me soon," he continued. "Until I get them in writing my father would rather me not say who they're from, but the conferences they involve are the ACC and the Big East.
"As far as favorites go, I'll give any program that takes the time to offer me consideration and respect."
