Dominguez atlhlete enjoys USC

Compton (Calif.) Dominguez always has its fair share of outstanding athletes and this year will be no different. Keep your eye on athlete prospect Ramon Hamilton (5-11, 160, 4.4). Look for Hamilton to see action at quarterback, wide receiver and free safety in 2004.
Hamilton didn’t play offense as a junior, but a huge junior season on the offensive side of the ball is expected.

“I will play quarterback and maybe some wide receiver,” Hamilton said.
Hamilton has been compared to in athleticism and talent to San Diego State bound Terry Mixon. Like Mixon, a D-I scholarship should be in Hamilton’s future.
Hamilton was invited to USC’s junior day recently and they were very encouraging.
“USC told me to do well in the classroom and to have a good season,” Hamilton said. “If I do, they said they will recruit me.”
Besides USC, Hamilton has heard from Illinois, Boise State and San Jose State.
As a free safety, Hamilton racked up approximately 25 tackles, one pick and one fumble recovery.
