Domann plans summer decision

JoJo Domann was a top performer at the IMG West Regional in Southern California this past weekend, shining on both sides of the ball to guide his team on a deep run in the tournament.
The three-star outside linebacker from Colorado Springs (Colo.) Pine Creek certainly proved why he is up to 11 scholarship offers heading into the spring evaluation period. Domann, the reigning state defensive player of the year, has a few trips on deck before he announces his college commitment this summer.

"I'm going to visit Michigan, Penn State, Arizona State, Kansas State and Nebraska," Domann said. "I'm kind of waiting things out. A lot of schools have been coming at me recently, like Oregon. I've talked to them a little bit and they see me at outside linebacker, so I'm just waiting it out until June and start narrowing things down."
Domann said he won't publicly name a top list of schools before making a decision. He has a visit lined up with the Sun Devils for May 4 after competing in St. Louis at the Rivals Camp Presented by Under Armour.
"I love how they see me at safety," Domann said of the Sun Devils. "They have three safeties, but they see me playing their bandit position which comes off the edge and blitzes, has to man up against a receiver, gets the flat. I love the scheme that they run and the way I fit into it. That's a big thing about them and the fact that they win, too."
The Ducks, meanwhile, have entered the picture recently, though they haven't extended an offer yet. That could change this spring if they drop by his school during the evaluation period.
"They just see me as an athletic guy off the edge playing outside linebacker for them," Domann said. "They need speed obviously in the conference they're in. At the end, they're Oregon. They win."
Though Domann has already been to Nebraska and Kansas State, and has his sights set on some out-of-state programs, the nearby Pac-12 school shouldn't be discounted.
"Colorado has told me I could play anywhere," Domann said. "They want to get me up there and they've told me I'm the only player they see that could go both ways. They've showed my film to the receivers coach. They are the only school so far, but I'm just playing football, so we'll see what happens."
Domann has been in contact with Michigan and mentioned getting an offer from the Wolverines would be big for his recruitment.
"All the history that's behind the school, the facilities, the conference they play in," Domann said, "that would be unbelievable to get a scholarship from them."
Domann had 61 tackles, including seven for a loss, and seven interceptions as a junior last fall. He also caught 49 passes for 797 yards and 10 touchdowns, and also added a rushing score while averaging more than 10 yards per carry.
