Domann cant wait to get to Lincoln

JoJo Domann is a prized recruit for Nebraska that addresses a need for the Huskers on the defensive side of the football as well as getting a guy in the 500-mile radius. The standout defensive athlete from Colorado Springs (Colo.) Pine Creek was just getting on the road this morning after spending time with friends already on the Nebraska squad and their families.
"We are just getting started going back," Domann said. "We stayed and ate with Avery Anderson, Eric Lee and their families this morning."

Domann hadn't seen a Nebraska real recently. He has been to one before -- a handful of years ago -- and he said that the whole gameday experience still really impressed him. He loves the fans at Nebraska and the situation about him joining a team where he has two good friends already really lends itself to him looking forward to being on the team soon.
"I went to a game five years ago over Thanksgiving break against Iowa," Domann said. "That was my first game in Lincoln. Yesterday the fans were unbelieveable. The atmosphere was better than I could have imagined. It's something that I want to be part of here at Nebraska. They game was great. Hanging out with Avery and Eric yesterday was great too."
The loss this weekend to BYU is the end of a streak for Nebraska and more importantly it's something that Nebraska must address with the recruits. Domann said that the loss doesn't require explanation because losing ispart of the game. He said that the coach addressed the team in a manner that he appreciated and he saw coaches working the next day trying to get better.
"It's football," Domann said "You win and you lose and they lost in a dramatic fashion. Hearing Coach Mike Riley in the locker room after the game about how hard they played yesterday and how hard they have been working was encouraging. It would have been nice to have won. The players weren't happy, but I was talking with Coach Trent Bray and they were looking at film, looking for ways to improve."
Domann sees the scheme that the Nebraska staff is using out there and knows that there is a need for players to run it. He saw one play in particular that realize that he could be successful in Lincoln and it fired him up about being a future player for Nebraska.
"For sure!" Domann said. "Being on the field during the game before and at the end of the game; I can see myself there at Nebraska. Plays like Nate Gerry made and others where the defense was flying around has me excited to get up there."
JoJo had his parents with him on the trip to Lincoln and his younger brother Brock was in tow. Brock Domann is a talented quarterback for Pine Creek and is a 2017 recruit. This was the first game that Brock had seen in Lincoln and he came away thinking that the Nebraska offense could potentially be a good fit for him.
"My brother was with me on this trip," Domann said "This was his first time to a game. He was not expecting what he experienced. He was impressed. I think that he liked how he could fit in the offense. He's a pass first quarterback that can really run. He had a 25-yard touchdown run last week."
