Domann back from ASU, K-State visits

JoJo Domann has gained clarity in recent weeks but that doesn't mean the looming college decision has gotten any easier.
The three-star linebacker from Colorado Springs (Colo.) Pine Creek visited Arizona State and Kansas State last week and got a better feel for both schools. Michigan, Penn State and UCLA have indicated that they intend to check on him before the spring evaluation period is through, and Domann hopes he has all his options on the table soon so he can sit down and weigh every scenario.

"I'm still trying to visit Stanford and California, but I'm not 100 percent sure on those yet," Domann said. "When I know what I'm doing, I'm going to end up setting a commit date, and get on the phone with the coaches and inform them of my choice because they deserve that. Hopefully I can decide in July, but I still have a lot to figure out."
The Sun Devils and Wildcats certainly didn't make it any easier on the 6-foot-1, 208-pound prospect who shined at the Rivals Camp Series stop in St. Louis where he earned linebacker MVP honors.
Arizona State offered earlier this spring and Domann thoroughly enjoyed his first visit to the desert.
"They took care of me very well there," Domann said. "They showed me around campus, took me to the dorms and showed me the facilities. Everything is being put in new and I also got to talk to coach (Todd) Graham for about an hour and 15 minutes.
"We talked about everything under the moon and about the character he expects from his guys. We talked about how the little things add up to better individuals and how they see for their defense. You get a lot of stories about ASU, but now I really see how everything works."
Domann had already been to Kansas State before but this time around got to chat with head coach Bill Snyder for nearly two hours, as well as former Heisman Trophy runner-up Collin Klein.
"K-State was awesome just like last time," Domann said. "I could relate to coach Klein a lot because he is a Colorado guy. We talked about what it takes to be successful, and the transition from high school to college. It was cool to talk to a recent college player.
"We also looked over everything that they're putting in there. The new facilities are going to be nice, so that's something to look forward to if I were to go there."
Domann has previously visited Nebraska and the Cornhuskers definitely are a player in his recruitment. With other suitors in the picture, Domann has been getting a better understanding of what he'll be selecting from.
"Two weeks ago before I visited both of ASU and K-State, I had no idea what I wanted," Domann said. "I wanted to see what was out there, but getting a feel for those two schools, now I have a better feel for what I'm choosing from. Yes, it's getting simpler, but it's also more difficult to have to narrow things."
Domann had 61 tackles, including seven for a loss, and seven interceptions as a junior last fall to earn the state defensive player of the year. He also caught 49 passes for 797 yards and 10 touchdowns, and also added a rushing score while averaging more than 10 yards per carry.
